Committed to and motivated by the goal of producing character animations that can capture imaginations and immerse players into worlds created as part of a larger team.
But enough of the super formal talk, I have far more personality than that.
Hi there! I'm Phoxx, your friendly, albeit clumsy, neighbourhood non-binary chaos gremlin.
As you've gathered from that fancy talk up there I'm an animator, working primarily with Maya and teaching myself a little MotionBuilder along the way.
I'm fully committed to my goal of working as a character animator and spend much of my free time, outside of university classes and assignments, researching techniques, setting myself small animation challenges and being active within several online communities, in order to gain feedback and keep improving my work. If I'm not doing that I'm usually sat in my dinosaur onesie playing action-adventure games like Monster Hunter and Horizon Zero Dawn.... or heading to the park to climb trees and sketch while I listen to music.
I already have experience working on individual and team assignments and successfully directed a small team on a collaboration assignment to create a multimedia short film. I also frequently help my fellow students with breaking down assignment briefs into simple checklists, reminding people of deadlines and setting up bots to create a job listing forum. I also provide a safe space in order for people to vent and ask advice, as I am a big advocate of mental health care.
